- The Flynn Flecther Saga -

Chapter 1

It was a rainy night

It was a cold and rainy night. The rain had been pouring the whole day and still did not tone down its ferocity well into the night. The wind was not losing its bite either and it was rattling a window of a certain apartment like an uninvited entity trying to gain entry into his room with ill intentions.

The clock struck midnight indicating the dawn of the witching hour that was reserved for the sinister beings to prey upon those in the land of the living who were still awake. It was late with troubling weather but that did not stir the young man sitting in his room with many thoughts in his head and his mobile phone in his hand.

Fynn Fletcher glanced at the window wondering if it will burst open but he was lost in another world that required his utmost attention. He returned his gaze back to his phone thinking of his next words carefully.

The Letter

It was the first letter that he received from a person named Clara33xoxo on the Slowly app and from reading her profile and what she had written him, she seemed like the sort that Flynn considered to be the ‘One’. Flynn’s definition of his ideal woman was first, she had to be a woman and next, she was breathing. Yes, Flynn has set the bar intentionally low so that he is available to all. Clara33xoxo mentioned that she wanted to get to know more about him which had gotten Flynn rather excited. He had not made any friends yet on this app, and he wanted to make a good impression on Clara33xoxo with his reply. If you knew Fynn, making a good impression was also not his forte.

Thinking a while more, he finally started his reply. He wrote:

Dear Clara33xoxo,

Thank you for your correspondence. It is a great pleasure to inform you that you have done yourself a great favour by making this decision to reach out to Flynn the Fantastic…

Flynn paused to read back what he wrote. He frowned as he felt something was not right with his words.

It certainly sounded modest, humble, and friendly enough to him but it lacked something that conveyed the idea that he was young, current, fashionable, suave, and carried a lot of swag whom Clara33xoxo certainly had to know.

Then an idea struck him and his face lit up! ‘I will GenZ this convo’ he thought and started correcting his words immediately. He wrote…

Yo Clara33xoxo,

Yeet for writing ya boi!

Ya letter passed the vibe check and ya be doin’ a favour writin’ the GOAT Flynny and simpin’ his style! No cap gal, ya boi is high key main character! Dun be ghostin’ ya boi and send some love will hit different, Iykyk. You will be living rent free from now on.

Flynn hit the send button.

There. Done. He thought to himself.

He was certainly the deal of the day and the letter was going to blow up Clara33xoxo’s phone! There was enough finesse in his self-introduction to make anyone write back.

Or so he thought.
